The XC-SSA2/CLK network controller is the workhorse of XCI's commercial grade controllers. It is an expandable network controller which allows control of up to several 1000's of thermostats, in increments of 32 thermostats. The controllers include a real-time clock/calendar which allows simple, yet robust environment control. The real-time clock/calendar is a significant importance to most of our customers. It allows the XCI system to run in a 'stand-alone' mode, where no other controller, PC or automation system is required for scheduling setpoints and modes of operation. When used in combination with the XCI Command Center software, simply point and click to create your schedules, then click to download them into the XCI controller, and you're done! The thermostat schedules will run automatically at the time(s) designated. There are also two smaller controllers, the XC-SSA32/CLK and the XC-SSA16/CLK which are 32 and 16 thermostat non-expandable controller. More details are below!
XC-SSA2/CLK
Expandable Network Controller
(for systems with up to 32 Serial-Stat
Thermostats and at least 1 XC-REL relay module)
 This
is the most popular version of XCI's network adapters, and is the big brother
of the entire line. This controller (like the others in the line) has
a complete real-time clock and calendar, allowing the XCI network to become
self-sustaining. Using the XCI Command Center Software, an entire
set of schedules can be created within a point-n-click Windows environment
and then downloaded into the controller. Once this is done, the PC
(or Modem or LAN) can be disconnected and the controller will run the schedules
you entered. The device can handle a power outage of 7 days without
you having to worry about resetting the clock. There is room for over
1,000 different schedules, allowing you to create up to 4 difference schedules,
7 days a week, for up to 32 Serial-Stats connected to it, and stll having
104 global schedules left over!
It also allows for connection of XCI's powerful communicating relay package,
the XC-REL. The XC-SSA2/CLK makes commercial
HVAC control jobs easier than they've ever been before! |

This controller is great for systems that have 32 or fewer Serial-Stat thermostats
and have no need for the XC-REL communicating relay module. The unit has
a complete real-time clock and calendar, allowing the XCI network to become
self-sustaining. Using the XCI Command Center Software, an entire
set of schedules can be created within a point-n-click Windows environment
