XCI's customers refer to us as the company that allows them to ‘bridge the gap’ between conventional thermostats and large, expensive building control systems.  XCI’s technology brings computerized networking to thermostats much like local area network (LAN) technology brought cost effective networking to the PC.  Using XCI’s products, customers may control and monitor a single thermostat, or an entire building or multiple-building site using a personal computer.  The software allows very simple and powerful control, which is one key to our simplicity and acceptance in the market. To the user in the building(s), our network thermostats operate just as any other conventional thermostat placed on a wall.  The important and distinct difference between XCI’s thermostats and a conventional thermostat is communications.
